Joe’s First Deer

Today, the boys and Chuck went out a little before 7am and Joe was in his tree stand for about 4 minutes when he shot his first deer.  It’s a 3 point!  Then the heard ran by Chuck and CJ but Chuck was helping CJ into his deer stand and so they didn’t get any.  Had then went out just a bit earlier they all would have come back with deer.  Nice to get one so fast so you don’t have to sit in the freezing cold waiting for deer to pass you by!

My Week

Well, this week flew by!  I can’t remember everything we did.

I got my back fixed on Monday and came home to sit on the couch with an ice pack on my back.

Tuesday I was at quilting for about an hour and then Chuck stopped by and I left with him to go into Erie to do some shopping.  Did a little Christmas shopping and picked up some stuff we needed.  He got a pair of wrestling shoes as he is helping out the local wrestling club the boys used to be in.

Wednesday Chuck and I went into Ashtabula to do all the food shopping and then came home put it all away and took off to the school, picked the boys up and dropped them off at wrestling practice and then drove over to Albion so Chuck could have his back adjusted.  Then back to the school to get the boys and go home.  I was exhausted but I had to bake a cake and make rose marina salad for the next day.

Thursday (Thanksgiving) the boys and Chuck left at 6am to go hunting with his dad and little Dave.  I cleaned the house and watched some movies and then we headed over to Bridgets place for dinner at 2pm.  We stayed till about 5:30 and came home and crashed.

Friday the boys had wrestling practice from 10:00am to 12:30pm then we just stayed home the rest of the day.  It was nice to just lay around and watch TV!  LOL!

Saturday morning at around 6:30am I let the dog out.  She is tied out front and I usually let her be out there for about an hour.  I went back to bed and then got up and saw it was 7:37 so I got up to let the dog back in.  I remember getting out of bed and walking through my bedroom door but the next thing I know, I’m laying on the kitchen floor, looking up at the door with the mop laying next to me.  I thought, that was weird, got up put the mop away and got the dog in and went back to bed.  The phone rang at 8:30am waking us and up and I rolled over and my whole body was in pain!  I had Chuck turn on the light and look at my elbow.  It’s got a HUGE bruise on it and some skin missing.  He asked what happened and I told him I fainted.  He’s like, That was you!?!  He thought the cats knocked something over because I never said a word, moaned or screamed.  My back hurts across my shoulder blades, my neck hurts and the back of my head hurts.  I have NEVER fainted like that before.  I have, however, felt faint and had the world go black, even though my eyes are open for about 15 seconds trying to focus.  I must be getting up way too fast and my blood pressure is dropping.

I had to bowl that night too!  I spent the whole day on the couch watching movies until 6pm when we left to bowl.  I did okay I guess.  I got a  126, 106, 116.  I hurt really bad though!

This morning when I got up my neck is killing me!  Everything still hurts, just not as bad.  Sitting in church I hear from the Pastor that all the Rozalski’s are not in church because Paul’s (Chuck’s brother) middle daughter was flown to Cleveland Children’s Hospital the night before because she has meningitis.  They don’t know what kind yet so since we all had Thanksgiving together and were in contact with her he didn’t want us in church.  BUT, no one told ME this!  So, everyone was looking at me wondering why I was there!  LOL!  I have not heard yet if it’s viral or bacterial.   Poor thing is very sick.

After church we all went out to Erie, including CJ’s girlfriend Taylor.  She seems nice enough but she eats like a bird!  Went to Golden Corral and all she had was a small leafy salad!  YIKES!  She doesn’t eat much.  We went and saw “New Moon” I guess it was alright.  Not my type of movie though.  Was a bit on the boring side.   We got home around 6:45pm and I am ready to just go to bed!

The boys and Chuck are deer hunting all day tomorrow.  I am going to the gym at 7:30am and then the dentist at 9am.  I am FINALLY almost done getting all my 12 fillings done!  I think I have 4 left and I hope to get 2 done tomorrow.

So, that was my exciting week.

Thanksgiving

Today was my side of the family’s Thanksgiving get together.  I had a BLAST!!!  I mostly just sat and talked with my twin sisters, but it’s been a long time since I got to do that so it was great.  We talk about the craziest stuff and those around us are often embarrassed but we all laugh a lot!  Those that are near get VERY enlightened about things they really didn’t want to know!  LOL!!

Everyone was shocked out how different the boys and I look.  My cousin’s wife, Kelly, came up to me and was like, so what is your family on?  LOL!  I guess we all look so thin.  Joe has lost over 15 pounds and grew about 4-5 inches since everyone last saw him and his voice is a LOT lower!  I am 40 pounds lighter since everyone last saw me too.  CJ is taller also.  I told everyone it’s just the med’s we are all on because we have ADHD and that medicine makes you not want to eat and it makes my heart-rate increase.

Yesterday, I bought a pair of size 8 jeans and called them my “dream jeans” because I haven’t been a single digit in like forever!  I told Chuck about them and after our shower he said I should try them on and see how far I have to go before they fit.  I told him my thighs probably won’t even fit into them.  Well, I was wrong.  I put them on with no problem and even wore them bowling last night and I wore them all day today!  So, I am not a size 8!!! I have NEVER been a size six, umm, I wonder if I ever will be!?!?!?!  That would be SO COOL!!!!

Well, we all left around 4:45 or so and Chuck had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad so in Albion we stopped at McDonald’s so he could go.  Then, we got on our way.  Then, the scary thing happened.  I am doing about 65, I should have been doing 55 but was speeding.  I am listening to the music and thinking about today and not really paying any attention to my driving.  You know, kind of on auto pilot spacing out kind of thing.  Then I heard, “slow down, this is a bad intersection”  I was like, huh? and looked up and to my left and I saw headlights coming FAST towards the intersection, I SCREAMED and hit the breaks JUST IN TIME to watch this car FLY over the intersection doing over 70 mph.  Their tires actually came off the ground as they LEPT over the intersection, is what Chuck said. He said he NEVER saw the car till after I screamed.  I could see in my mind what WOULD have happened had I NOT slowed down.  The car would have T’-boned us and we would have all died.  CJ was laying down in the back seat and Joe was laying down in the very back of the truck.  There is NO WAY we would have lived through that.

I cried all the way home in shock, not boo hoo’ing but tears just ran down my face all the way home.  I pulled into the driveway and we all just sat there and it took a good 5 minutes before we even spoke and even longer to actually get out of the truck.  I have NEVER had that happen to me before.  That is the intersection that Chuck’s dad got slammed in and almost died and it was the same thing.  A car coming from that side flew right through the stop sign.  It must be hard to see for someone that doesn’t know the road.  The same thing happened again and Chuck came upon that one.  No one died, but they were hurt and their dog died.  Same thing, someone coming from that side flew right threw the stop sign.

I’m still flipping out.  My whole family just about was wiped out in a blink of an eye, had I not heard, “slow down, this is a bad intersection.”  So, I am thankful that I am still alive and that my family is still alive.

My back, Brenda and bowling

Man, what  a day yesterday was!  I got up, took the boys to school, went to the gym and worked out, went home and worked on the computer for an hour then I got dressed to leave.  I got stuck in my sweatpants because I was trying to take them off over my shoes and in the process I threw my back out!  Oh wonderful!!!  I called the chiropractor but he can’t see me till MONDAY!! AAAHHH!!!

So, with my back thrown out I got ready to leave and went and picked up Brenda.  I had to take her up to the hospital for a scope to be checked for celiac.  We got there at 11am and we didn’t leave till 2:10!  When they wheeled her into surgery, I got a call and had to run up town to sign papers so Bridget could get the water turned on at the rental we own that she is moving into.  Ran back to the hospital and got a salad and was eating when they wheeled Brenda back in.  Sure didn’t take long.  I had to wait for her to wake up and see straight before we could leave.

So, dropped her off at home, picked the boys up from school, went back to Brenda’s to watch her 6 kids till Lou got home at 4:30pm and then FINALLY came home!  I just sat on the couch till 8:15pm when we all loaded up into the car and we picked up Taylor (CJ’s girlfriend) and we went to rock-n-bowl from 9-11pm!  I bowled 3 games with a bad back!  LOL!!  I fell into bed after midnight exhausted!

Today, got up at 8am and my back hurts but it’s not horrible.  Used to be, when I threw back out I couldn’t move and I was flat on my back in bed for days.  Today, I have to leave at 10:15am to pick up Taylor (her parents our out of town) and take them all bowling.  They bowl in a league.  Chuck wants us to join the couples league on Saturday nights, so I might be bowling again tonight!

The boys have their own bowling balls, shoes, and bags.  LOL!  I remember when Chuck and I practically lived in the bowling alley!  I tried to keep bowling after CJ was born, but all he did was scream his head off so I quit.  I haven’t bowled in almost 14 years!  I kind of suck at it now.  :(

Cool Stuff!

On Monday I meet up with Sue from my grief group in Edinboro. It’s about 25 miles for both of us. We sat at Perkins for 3 hours! My butt hurt SO bad! Those seats haven’t been changed in over 50 years!!! You could feel EVERY spring! But, it was a wonderful visit and it was great to see here again! We are thinking about starting up a group in Edinboro and co-hosting it. We also talked about getting shirts to wear too as sort of advertising. We had fun trying to get a picture of us. Sue held the camera and we couldn’t stop laughing!!!

Tuesday was quilting till 11:30 then I had a meeting with the pastor at 1pm and told him I HAD to leave when it was 2:30 to get the boys from school!  LOL!   He loves to talk about computers, videos, graphics, etc!  I am helping set up the church’s website.  Picked the boys up from school and took them to wrestling practice.  Joe broke out in MAJOR hives!!!  We think it must have been the cleaner on the mats.  He was in so much pain and it was from the top of his head to his knees!  Man, it was bad.  I gave him 2 benadryl and a cold shower and he went to bed.  But, the hives did go away.  I took him to see the doctor the next day and she said to give him a non-drowsy 24-hour allergy medicine and see if that helps.  We shall see!

Wed. I had to watch Brenda’s kids while she took Autumn out for a birthday breakfast.  She is now 11 I think.  Then I had a LOT of shopping to do.  Glad to have that over with!  Chuck came with me so that was nice.  Then picked the boys up from school and took them to wrestling practice, which was just a LONG jog around town.   Finally made it home at 5:30pm.

Today, I rode with him to Erie to try and find a loader to load wood onto large trucks.  Couldn’t find anything.  Chuck has a big truck, almost as big as a semi! Got the boys and came straight home. YEAH!!  So, I actually have time to catch up on my blog.

My week has been crazy!  I have barely been home.  I don’t think I have been home more than an hour alone!  I miss my “alone” time, which is when I work on the computer.  I haven’t done anything for the church’s website or the help desk at Coachville!  SIGH!!!  I think tomorrow I can stay home ALL DAY!

I found this awesome app for my phone called Pandora!  It’s a streaming radio where you can make stations and put in your favorite song, artist or what ever, and it will go off that and give you other songs and you give it up thumbs up or down and it creates your favorite radio station.  It’s awesome!!!  I can see this replacing my XM radio and I’ll stop paying the monthly fee on that!  It works on your computer too!  SO COOL!!!

I was playing around with it and you can ask it “Why this song?” and here are some of the things it told me!  What a hoot!!!  I never knew this is what I liked!  LOL!!!  Here are some of what it tells me:

country roots, acoustic rhythm piano, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentation, major key tonality and a vocal-centric aesthetic, erotic lyrics, dynamic male vocalist, a subtle use of vocal harmony, intricate melodic phrasing, slide/pedal steel guitars, extensive vamping, and something about loving twang!  LOL!!!!  Hysterical!

Check it out, because it’s SO COOL!!!   PANDORA

Another place you HAVE to see is “People Of Wal*Mart”.  Oh My!!  It’s a HOOT!!!!!

This video is AWESOME in my opinion! Someone from my grief group sent it to me, wonderful!! This is a commercial that is run in Singapore.

Weekend Stuff

There was no school for the boys on Friday as it was parent/teacher stuff.  We went the night before.  Chuck took the boys to practice, then to the orthodontist for Joe and then out to eat while I was on the phone for 5 hours.  I did my first practicum and it went okay, but not great.  My first “client” was Todd and he wanted to talk about his new 3 week relationship with Joe, LOL!  That one went REALLY well and the “teacher” was VERY surprised I had never a practicum before!  Then I switched over to group B, who did NOT hear my first one and did another one with a woman, who I can’t even remember her name!  And that one went SO BAD!!  I actually brought her down, talked WAY too much, was VERY SLOW in speaking and too much hesitation between questions.  She wanted to talk about her two teenage boys and how they don’t respect her!  Good gravy, you would think I would do alright with that!  I guess I’m just better with gay relationships!  LOL!!!  I think I was just so ready to be done, was VERY tired from being SO stressed out about the whole thing.  I have two more this year, Dec. 4th and Dec. 12th.  Yee Haw!

Right after that, I drove out to Debbie’s house and took her to Texas Roadhouse and then we went to see the movie “Law Abiding Citizen”   It was REALLY good!!!!  Dropped her off at her place and got home about 10:45pm.  I went right to bed!

Saturday, Dave, my nephew, had spent the night so at 10:15am we all went to the bowling alley.  CJ is in a league and Joe joined too.  Dave wanted too but he has to ask his dad.  When they were done we all bowled 2 games.  I haven’t bowled since 2005 and I did okay.  My bowling shoes are so sad!  They have been in storage too long and I need new ones.  Maybe I will start bowling again.  Chuck did okay, even with two bad legs!  CJ now uses Chucks old ball and his old bowling shoes.  He got tips put in so the ball fits him better.  Joe ordered a bowling ball and we’ll have to get him shoes too.  I am getting new shoes and a new bag as mine is falling apart.

This is Dave and Joe on the way home (yes I was in the drivers seat but I was at a stop sign!):

CJ and his girlfriend were next to them.  We took all of them to Zack’s b-day party.  Zack is Bridget’s step-son and Bridget is Chuck’s youngest sister, for those who don’t know.  It’s a good thing I have a church key as NO ONE had one and we would have had the party out in the parking lot had I not opened the church!  LOL!  We left there at 4:30 brought everyone AND Jed home for 45 minutes and then Chuck took Jed, Taylor and Dave home.

Now, Chuck dropped Jed off first.  He is 8 and he’s Brenda’s son.  Brenda called me an hour later and asked when Chuck dropped Jed off.  I said about an hour ago, why?  Well, Chuck didn’t wait to see him go inside, he just left.  I guess no one was home and Jed tried to walk to our house!  Gosh, we live 15 miles away!  He got lost and the police picked him up and Brenda had no ride and had to call Dave to pick her up so she could go pick her son up at the police station!!! YIKES!!! Poor Jed!!!!  :(

Chuck is playing poker tonight so I called him and told him about it.  Not sure if he ever called Brenda to say he was sorry and to talk to Jed.  I feel so bad!!!

So, that was my day.  I am now just chillin out on the computer till bedtime.

Okay, a side note here, WHO is looking for me via google????  They type in ‘marsha rozalski’ in google to find me!!  Okay, not naming names but it’s mostly from Lexington NC.  Do we NOT know how to put my blog address into their favorites? LOL!!  Call me I can help!  Also, someone from Conneaut OH typed in ‘marsha rozalski’ into google last Sunday and then Ashtabula OH  same thing but on Friday Oct. 30th.  Okay, WHO is looking for me!?!?!  LOL!!!  FESS UP!!!
