Depressed

Well, I haven’t been doing well lately. Just been down, feeling depressed, over whelmed, stressed out, etc. Today the school calls me a little after 12 saying that CJ was wanting to hurt himself again. I made them call his case manager, Curtis. I didn’t go pull him out, instead I went to lunch like I do every Thursday.

My heart really wasn’t into going, but I went anyway. Better than crying I guess. I got to the school at 2 and didn’t talk to Curtis till 2:45 but I guess Curtis is taking CJ out for a while and we’ll see what is up.

Mostly, CJ is overwhelmed with school and sports and wants to quit sports. Chuck on the other hand wants NOTHING to do with the boys quitting sports. I think we should let CJ take the winter off and NOT do wrestling and maybe instead have him in the library getting help with his work and/or helping others with theirs. I agree with Chuck that they shouldn’t come home to just sit in their rooms and play video games and that they should be kept busy but maybe we can keep CJ busy with school related stuff.

I know CJ will want to hang with his friends if he has the time but I am putting my foot down and NO hanging out with friends on school nights.

I will talk to Curtis more later when he drops CJ off. I guess CJ now has an appointment with his therapist tomorrow at 3pm. We haven’t been able to see her because we just don’t have the time. Curtis says there is a school psychologist that maybe he can see instead and I said for it. That would help as it takes 2 hours out of our day to see Tricia in Ashtabula.

I just wished Chuck understood more. It’s hard to explain to him how hard it is for someone with ADHD to try and get work done and we are scatter brained and can’t focus well. He’s never had that problem so he was able to do sports all through the entire school year and get all his work done. I can’t even imagine it!

I will have to talk with Chuck tonight and see how it goes. Makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it. I keep telling myself, only 3 1/2 more years to go! LOL! Awful, isn’t it! :(

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom’s birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

Sorry I never did get a card out to you. I am so horrible about that and I feel bad I didn’t get one out. Thought about it every day and just didn’t do it! I will make sure and call you later though! Probably before you read this.

LOVE YOU MOM!!!

CJ’s Wrist

I see that I haven’t posted for a long time again! I can’t seem to post as often as I’d like to.

CJ hurt his wrist a couple weeks ago at the skate park and after their football game on Monday night I took him into the ER to have it checked out because it was still hurting him pretty bad. It’s odd to watch him play football with one arm, LOL!

The bus pulled in at 8pm and our neighbor took Chuck and Joe home, which I’m glad because we didn’t get out of the ER until 10pm! They were busy when we got there but Chuck’s brother Dan and Pastor Carson where both there with Caleb and Seth, as their grandpa had a stroke. We had a BLAST! We chatted, laughed and Pastor Carson showed us his new iPad and it was SO cool!! They all stayed until CJ and I got called back at 10pm to talk to the doctor. That was nice of them! :)

They took CJ back for x-rays and then he came back into the waiting room. I gave him some money for the snack machine and we all laughed when he came back with 5 snicker bars!! LOL!! We found out that he damaged his tendon so he has to ware a brace until it’s healed. He doesn’t have to quit playing football as it won’t hurt his wrist anymore than it is so he’s okay. It’s his left one, so he can still bowl and write. I’m glad it’s not broken! I feel better knowing that when he complains that it hurts.

Yesterday morning, because CJ and I got home so late from the ER, I forgot to set my alarm. I woke up at 7:10 and I usually drop the boys off at 7am! YIKES!! I go the boys up really fast and we did everything really fast and I dropped them off at 7:40am. They got a tardy for the day but I told them no big deal! At least they didn’t miss any of their class, they were just a few minutes late. I hate starting my day like that, RUSHING!

After I dropped them off I went to SNAP and was the only one there! Then I went to quilting but Barb didn’t come to that either. I heard that she thinks she may have a hernia around her belly button and her back is bothering her a lot. :( I hope she feels better soon! Sue is out on vacation this week and Barb isn’t feeling well so I have been working out at SNAP by myself this week. We’ll see how many of us show up for lunch tomorrow.

Today I have bowling and I hope I do better than I did last week! My right hand has been bothering me this week so I hope that doesn’t affect my bowling! Last week I did really stinky! After that I am heading over to Bridget’s photography studio to put some photo editing software in her computer. She is partners with our doctor here in town. The doctor put all the money into it and Bridget takes the photos, LOL! It’s nice because I told the boys not to worry about picture day today because Bridget can just take them instead. I want all the sports photos but just photos of them, she can take them and there much better than the schools!

Another Week Has Gone By

Well, here it is Sunday and I haven’t blogged all week! I can’t even remember what I did on Monday! Let’s see, it was a holiday so no school. Got the boys up and they had football practice from 8am to 10:30am.

Then came home and I mowed some grass with the weed wacker since our mower has been down ALL summer long! But, I ran out of gas so I went to the gas station to get some more and when I got there my battery had died! UGH! I am now stuck at the gas station. Thank God we know the owner, Joy, really well. She gave me a ride home. When Chuck got home, we went down there and brought the van back on the trailer. We both thought that the alternator had died so we left it parked because being a holiday no one is open.

We went and got the dump truck for me to use tomorrow, oh joy! It’s full to the brim with firewood!

Tuesday, I dropped the boys off at school and worked out with my friends for an hour then Barb and I went to quilting. It’s SO nice to be back at quilting! I had so much fun that the time just flew by and I couldn’t believe it was time to go already! But, I had 3 people ask me about the firewood and I ended up selling that load to Barb that day! YA!!! I never realized that just driving the dump truck full of firewood around town would sell that load that fast and have that many people interested!

We had the alternator tested and there was nothing wrong with it. I guess my battery just died so we put the battery from Chuck’s van into my van for now. I’m glad it was an easy and no cost fix. Having the alternator tested was free! :)

Wednesday, I dropped the boys off at school and worked out with my friends and came home around 8:30 and worked on my computer till about 11:30. I decided to join an all ladies bowling league this year that is on Wednesday’s at noon. My team members are Pauline and Pearl. There are five teams of 3 women each. They used to be this really big league but for the past few years it has been getting smaller and smaller. I had a great time and I bowled 199, 175, and a 162. My average on the Wed. league is 178. I was exhausted by the time I got home but Chuck wanted me to ride around with him so from 2-5 I rode around with him and then had to get the boys from practice, make dinner, clean up dinner and finally go to bed!

Thursday I dropped the boys off at school and worked out with my friends. I started talking with Becky for a while and then Janet came in and Becky left so I kept on my treadmill and talked with Janet and then Sue came in and the three of us walked for a while and then Janet left and I stayed with Sue. By the time I hit 75 minutes I had had enough! LOL!! I just know that walking on the treadmill alone sucks so I stayed to keep them company. So, I did 75 minutes at 3.5 mph.

Chuck came with me on Thursday for lunch. We had a good turn out, pretty much everyone showed up, so we all had a good time. Then we went back home to relax until 5:30 when I had to run out and get the boys from football practice. Then CJ went out with Curtis and then at 7 Joe and I left and I picked up Rachael and I took them bowling. CJ met us there. We THOUGHT that their bowling league started this weekend so they were going to bowl out but I guess it starts NEXT week so they just bowled for fun. Joe got his highest game a 224! We finally made it home by 9pm!

Friday I dropped the boys off at school and worked out with my friends. This time I only did 30 minutes on the treadmill as my legs were still sore from the day before. When I got home I decided to mow some more since it was cool outside. I got a lot down around the house and it’s starting to look a lot better around here. I worked for an hour and then took a shower and just sat on my computer till it was time to go.

We left at 2pm and picked up Jed as he is going to spend the night with us. I believe he’s 9 now. Then we picked the boys up from school and we went to Subway and then dropped them back off at school for their away football game. We did some errands and then we drove an hour to the football game. It was AWFUL! It was painful to watch! The final score: Us 0 Them 33. *SIGH*

Then we drove the hour back and then had to wait an hour in the school parking lot till the boys got back. It was midnight when we finally got home! They canceled the JV game so the boys NEVER got to play football this week! Being a Freshmen on the team really bites, hopefully next year won’t be so bad.

We all slept in on Saturday, no one got out of bed till 9:30! Chuck and I did some running in town for a while, picked up Matt to come play with Jed for a while and then came home in time for me to be on my VERY LAST coaching practicum!!! I did AWESOME! The leader said that was my VERY BEST EVER!!! I am now graduated and certified! FINALLY!!!! YEAH!!!!! BOO YA!!! I’m SO excited to be DONE! I was done on the phone by 3pm so I just chilled on the computer till 5pm.

At 5pm we loaded up all the kids and picked up Ray on our way into town since his van broke down and needed a ride to bowling. Chuck and I bowl on a Saturday Night Mixed League and Ray is on our team. First we dropped of Jed, then took CJ, Joe and Matt to the skate park where Bridget was waiting for them. Then Ray, Chuck and I went to the bowling alley. The guys bowled 2 games before league started. I made sure to keep my scores low so that my average was low. I ended up with a 138 average, LOL!! Chuck ended up with a 226 average! We lost against the team we were bowling against but that is okay, if I keep my average low for about a month then I can bowl big numbers and we can start winning, LOL!!!

The boys decided to spend the night at Bridget’s so we had the house to ourselves for the evening, but big deal, all we did was come home, watch TV in bed for an hour and go to sleep. The boys came home at 10:30 Sunday morning. I think today we’ll just relax at home and around 5pm I have to go to church and run projection.

My Week

It’s been a busy week this week. It’s been nice to be able to workout with my friends again in the mornings. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I started going back. This year the boys start school 30 minutes earlier than last year, so I walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then Sue comes in and I do another 30 with her so I am really getting in a lot of cardio! Maybe I’ll be able to lose this 11 pounds I have gained! LOL!

Friday night’s football game was the first home game and we won but the JV game on Saturday we lost 8-38. Yikes! The boys really don’t get to play much and that is so different from every year they have played. Usually they play the whole game but now they are lucky to play 2 minutes. Being a Freshman sucks! I hope that next year they will play a whole lot more. Our schools around here don’t have just a Freshman team, if they did, the boys would probably play a whole lot more.

Chuck decided that it would be a good idea to have 4 year old Elisha come spend the night with us. YIKES! He picked him up yesterday morning and we took him to the football game. He drove us NUTS asking to go home, wanting to go home, are we going home yet, etc. Then when we got home he’s bored because we don’t have any cool toys for him to play with and our big TV in the living room has quit working so he ended up in my room watching kiddy movies.

We decided to take him bowling since he’s never gone before and he was all over the place and whining to go home and basically driving us all nuts! Wow, I am NOT used to having young kids any more! I know that I am SO HAPPY that mine are older and can take care of themselves. I waited a long time for that to happen, LOL!! Elisha wore Chuck out, LOL!

Chuck and I went to bed at 8:30 and we tried to get Elisha to go to bed and he drove us nuts until finally Chuck made him lay down in Joe’s room and I guess he woke up screaming at least 5 or 6 times and drove Joe nuts. I don’t think we’ll have him spend the night again for a long time. I think having him for a few hours is fine but other than that, no thanks!

The boys say I am not very tolerant and I know that is true. Maybe I was a bit better when I had young kids but I do remember that I screamed a lot and that I would vow NOT to scream that day and it never worked I ended up screaming my head off. I just can’t handle it I guess. It’s MUCH better and has been I think since Florida which was 2006. I am glad I am NOT the screaming banshee I used to be!!

Today is Joe’s 14th birthday and we are dropping Elisha off at church and then going into town to pick up Joe’s friend Nick and going into Erie to go to the Golden Corral, see a movie and Joe is getting an airsoft riffle for his birthday. Hope he has a good time, he woke up with a sore throat and CJ was like that a few days ago and ended up with a cold. I think Joe is getting that same cold.
