School Grades

Joe just found out that he got a low C in Science and he is CRUSHED! He asked the teacher and he said don’t worry about it I don’t have stuff from Thanksgiving put in and I just looked and while we were in NC he gave Joe ALL zeros!!!! Joe actually came home went into his room and sobbed! He wanted so badly to have straight A’s again. I guess he has a B in English so he’s just so upset, thinks the rest of High School is needless because he’ll NEVER have a 4.0 GPA now because of this LOW C! It’s a 73%.

Chuck and I will be going into the school and have discussions with the guidance counselor and the teacher. By the time Joe gets home from school, he showers, eats and falls asleep! I told him we are going to stay on top of his grades this 9 weeks and we will know what he has at all times so we don’t get any surprises!

CJ is doing well, I believe he got all A’s and he has started his 3rd nine weeks. I am going to help him tomorrow with his History and English. He failed a test twice and I said I’d help him as you get 3 chances after that the teacher has to approve a re-take. It’s on sentence structure. The math he doesn’t pass I’ll have Nick come out and help him.

CJ goes twice a week to therapy now so we go Monday and Thursday mornings and we have to leave the house by 8:30am. Nice to be home by 10:30 unless we have to stop at the store since Wal*Mart is across the street.

I have been SO busy writing articles for people online. I’m making some money just wish I could make a LOT of money! *SIGH*

CJ And The Piano

CJ has been spending HOURS on the piano lately! Used to be I had to make him practice and now they aren’t taking lessons because of time and money and now I can’t keep him off the piano. I have to make him stop playing to do his school work. I think he was playing over 4 hours yesterday. I showed him how to hook up his keyboard to his computer so he can play songs and record them and turn them into mp3′s. He makes up songs all the time and here are two he made up last night.

So Busy

Oh my, I have been so busy that I realized that I never even called my mom for Christmas or New Years! Good grief!! SORRY MOM!! *SIGH*

I have been trying to make money with odesk and I’ve been doing okay. Nothing to write home about but still it’s SOMETHING! I’ve been busy with CJ too. His new psychiatrist wants to up his therapy before we trying switching his med’s. He’s as high as he can go with Lexapro so she was thinking of changing to Zoloft but we are going to try doing therapy Monday and Thursday’s and see how that goes first. His therapist was going to mention the same thing so we are all on the same page.

I am also trying to get CJ to get all his school work done by Friday. Nick has been over here twice this week and he’ll be here again tonight. He has just a bit of Math left and he’ll be all done. I am pretty sure he has all A’s THANK GOD!! I never mentioned it, but he was in the hospital again in Nov. for almost 2 weeks and he lost almost a month of school time so he’s busting his butt to get done. I have no clue why the school won’t give him more time, they were just going to give him D’s and F’s!!! NO WAY!! So, I have been helping him and Nick helps with Math as I don’t understand Geometry very well.

Well, the other day I went to take Joe to school and my rental had a flat tire! I was NOT happy as all I had was that darn van that runs like crap and has NO heat!! ARG!!! So, dropped Joe off at school, went to SNAP and then went quilting. Then all us ladies went out to lunch and then I got home at 1pm, took the flat off and put the donut on and called Enterprise and they said to take it to Ashtabula and have them fix it.

Got there at 2pm and they said they’d be done at 4pm! YIKES! So, walked 15 minutes in the freezing cold to the library until they were done and walked back 15 minutes in the freezing cold. They said it was a little nail! *SIGH* They changed the oil too since I have put 4,000 miles on it already.

Then Wednesday, Enterprise called and said there is a recall on the car and that I had to take it in first thing this morning to have it fixed. Something about seat belts. So, after I took Joe to school I took the car in to be fixed. This time I was out of there by 8:30am. I went to Walmart and wouldn’t you know it the lady in front of me checked out just fine and as soon as she was done the computers in the entire store went down!!! I had to wait 15 minutes for them to come back up to check out!

I finally got home at 10am today. I had lunch with the girls at 1pm and I have to get Joe here in a bit (5:30) and then I have to come home and make dinner and clean up. Nick will be here at 6:30.

Oh, and last night my washing machine kicked it! It will agitate but it won’t spin. It was smoking and stinking so badly last night that I thought the mudroom was on fire!! Thank god it wasn’t. I was to busy today to call someone but I need to find out if I can have it fixed because a new unit is over $1,400!

Yesterday we got our Network Extender!! YA!!! I went to verizon to check out getting new phones and we got to talking about why our minutes were so low and they looked up our account and they could tell we never used them at home so they gave us this extender for FREE!!! It came yesterday and it’s SO COOL to use the phones anywhere in the house!! WOW!!! No more huddling in the mudroom for a signal. SO AWESOME! I called and canceled my long distance as I was paying $35 a month for unlimited long distance so now that I can use my cell phone I ditched that bill!

A New Year

Well, it’s a new year and I haven’t even posted anything yet. For New Years Eve, we went to a family bowling tournament and had a lot of fun. Then we dropped the boys off at a friends for a party and we went to Chuck’s parents house. We left there at 10:30 and went home. We watched TV till midnight and Chuck went to bed and I went to get the boys. I finally got to bed at 1am.

New Years Day we did nothing but watch movies all day! That is nice sometimes when you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything and you can just relax all day. Today I have to make sure all the laundry is done and the dishes all get done and I work projection at the church tonight. Tomorrow school starts back up and we are back to our regular routine.

I have to make sure CJ gets done with all his school work by the 7th and all we have left is his math so we’ll probably make it just fine. So far he has A’s in all his classes!
