May is full of birthday parties for us.  Today is Dan’s 14th birthday.  He was born 8 days after CJ.  We had the party at Brenda’s house because Dan’s second wife didn’t want the first wife in her house, LOL!  Shay, Dan’s first wife is pregnant!  That was a shock.  She has a daughter that is 16 and this daughter has a son that is 3 months old.  She has Dan who is 14 and another boy that is 3 and now she is pregnant with another boy.  I can’t imagine having a son that is YOUNGER then my grandson!  I think Shay had her daughter when she was 16, and come to think of it I think Shay’s mom had her when she was 16 too, so it must run in the family.  At least Shay’s daughter is finishing school.

Anyway, all these parties are the same.  A house FULL of noisy people and I try and hide somewhere.  Today I was either in the kitchen or outside.  The TV of course was blaring a movie and everyone was trying to talk above it.  Dan was opening his gifts right by the TV and trying to scream his thanks to who ever bought him the gift.  To me, having the TV on like that is just plain RUDE!  But to my husband’s side of the family it’s normal.  I still, after 18 years, can’t get used to that.
