My Week
It’s been a busy week this week. It’s been nice to be able to workout with my friends again in the mornings. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I started going back. This year the boys start school 30 minutes earlier than last year, so I walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then Sue comes in and I do another 30 with her so I am really getting in a lot of cardio! Maybe I’ll be able to lose this 11 pounds I have gained! LOL!
Friday night’s football game was the first home game and we won but the JV game on Saturday we lost 8-38. Yikes! The boys really don’t get to play much and that is so different from every year they have played. Usually they play the whole game but now they are lucky to play 2 minutes. Being a Freshman sucks! I hope that next year they will play a whole lot more. Our schools around here don’t have just a Freshman team, if they did, the boys would probably play a whole lot more.
Chuck decided that it would be a good idea to have 4 year old Elisha come spend the night with us. YIKES! He picked him up yesterday morning and we took him to the football game. He drove us NUTS asking to go home, wanting to go home, are we going home yet, etc. Then when we got home he’s bored because we don’t have any cool toys for him to play with and our big TV in the living room has quit working so he ended up in my room watching kiddy movies.
We decided to take him bowling since he’s never gone before and he was all over the place and whining to go home and basically driving us all nuts! Wow, I am NOT used to having young kids any more! I know that I am SO HAPPY that mine are older and can take care of themselves. I waited a long time for that to happen, LOL!! Elisha wore Chuck out, LOL!
Chuck and I went to bed at 8:30 and we tried to get Elisha to go to bed and he drove us nuts until finally Chuck made him lay down in Joe’s room and I guess he woke up screaming at least 5 or 6 times and drove Joe nuts. I don’t think we’ll have him spend the night again for a long time. I think having him for a few hours is fine but other than that, no thanks!
The boys say I am not very tolerant and I know that is true. Maybe I was a bit better when I had young kids but I do remember that I screamed a lot and that I would vow NOT to scream that day and it never worked I ended up screaming my head off. I just can’t handle it I guess. It’s MUCH better and has been I think since Florida which was 2006. I am glad I am NOT the screaming banshee I used to be!!
Today is Joe’s 14th birthday and we are dropping Elisha off at church and then going into town to pick up Joe’s friend Nick and going into Erie to go to the Golden Corral, see a movie and Joe is getting an airsoft riffle for his birthday. Hope he has a good time, he woke up with a sore throat and CJ was like that a few days ago and ended up with a cold. I think Joe is getting that same cold.
