Amish Auction

Today, Chuck and I went to an Amish Auction. It was a lot of fun! The boys were at football practice so we were by ourselves. I took a lot of pictures even though the Amish really don’t like you to do that.

This is the grill Chuck fell in love with.

Here are some random shots.

I just LOVED the quilts so I had to take a picture of every single one of them! They went from $200 to $300 dollars a piece!

So, that was all the quilts! Wish I could make quilts like that!

We left the auction at 2pm, went home and picked the boys up and went out to Chuck’s aunts house for his side of the family’s reunion. We played corn hole most of the time and we were there until 7:30pm. It was a VERY long but fun day!

My Mom Rocks!

I got a package today and guess what was in it! LOL!! I got 12 containers of Fruit Punch Mix!! YES!!! I have been drinking this stuff for a year now but about 4 months ago, Wal*Mart changed their brand of Fruit Punch Mix and I DON’T like it!! It’s yucky but I drank it anyway.

Then, while I was in NC for my mom’s wedding, I bought a container of the Food Lion brand of Fruit Punch Mix and it was GREAT! LOVED IT!! I had 2 containers left, which is a gallon, and took those with me. Loved it! But, it didn’t’ occur to me until I got home that I should have bought a bunch and brought them home with me. We don’t have a Food Lion around here. Now I was sad that I had to go back to my Yuck kind.

I told my mom that I was going to send money to her for some and have her ship some to me but then Chuck got into that accident and we just don’t have any money to spare so I never did. I had run out of my kind a day before the box showed up, LOL!!

My mom emailed me and told me it was coming so that kind of ruined the BIG surprise, LOL! So, if you ever send me a box of goodies, DON’T tell me! Let me be surprised at the mailbox. I LOVE surprise mail!!! :)

She sent me enough to make 36 gallons of Fruit Punch! YUM!

My Mom Rocks! Thanks Mom!!!!

What A Night!

Okay, yesterday I needed to go shopping and I need to get a new headset for my phone. They only seem to last a year and it’s been a year and it went this past week. So, Chuck and I decided to head into Erie, do the shopping, see a movie and get dinner. Well, that isn’t how it went exactly!

First, we went to Best Buy for the headset and I got the same exact one. I really like the sound quality just wish they lasted longer! After that is when it all started to go down hill! I pull out of Best Buy and all I wanted to do was go across the street to the movie theater. I was behind this bus and it seemed to be taking a REALLY long time at the light. It finally turned right and I went up to the light and it was red. It wasn’t turning green and people where honking and I’m like what is going on, and then we see it. There was an accident about a block down and in Erie, PA all the lights stay green for emergency vehicles. So, it was never going to turn green on my side so I had to turn right.

I turned right but then at the next light I needed to turn left. Ya, right! I FINALLY get across only to find that traffic is backed up by Lowes/Wal*Mart, so I had to drive up into the grass and get around people to make it into the theater parking lot!

Finally, we made it across the street and with 3 minutes to spare for our movie to start. We got tickets to “Salt” and we were so ready to just relax for a bit. It JUST got to the good part where she turns around and says, “I’m Evelyn Salt” and all of a sudden the movie shut off and sirens where going off and siren lights where flashing and a voice saying that EVERYONE had to evacuate the building and go to the top of the parking lot. After about 20 minutes the firetrucks finally show up and they gave everyone free movie passes because they were closed the rest of the night!!!

So, I say, lets go down to the dollar theater and see if they have anything. Well, on the way there we ran into ANOTHER accident that had traffic backed WAY up!! We FINALLY get to the other theater and they have nothing until 7pm. So, I said forget it, so we make our way back up peach street to Wegmans.

Man, Wegmans was REALLY overwhelming! It’s huge, people everywhere, we had no idea where anything was. By the time we left, we were a frazzled mess. I had enough and just wanted to relax so I drove BACK down peach street and back to the Millcreek Mall and we went to the Outback. We just got Cheesy Fry’s and their free bread, LOL! We just sat in there for over an hour relaxing and talking. We were home by 8pm, which is early for going out, LOL!

I hate only seeing 1/4 of a movie and NOT knowing the end! Nothing like NOT seeing a movie you paid for! :(

This morning I woke up VERY sick. Every time I moved I got so dizzy the world was spinning and I felt like I was going to hurl! I couldn’t move until 2pm! So much for church. I have to go in tonight as I am running projection. I think the pastor is going to show me how to run sound!! So COOL!!! I will be the only girl on the sound team! I’m such a AV nerd!

Day at the Beach

Today, CJ’s friend Jesse from youth camp came over and we went to the beach. Joe went over the Bridget’s house to hang out with Dave and Brandy. I looked for Sea Glass for 3 hours! I am exhausted, LOL!! I came home smelling like dead fish and sea weed!

Jesse got car sick on the way home and ended up throwing up when we got home and I felt bad! Her grandma picked her up at 7pm. She lives an hour away! Crazy! But, she had a good time and I’m sure she will call CJ at 9pm like every other night! :)

I got a new cell phone the other day. The charging port went in the other one, so I had to get a new one, thank goodness for insurance! Now, I have to put all my contacts back in and my calendar. I missed two calls today because my phone didn’t tell me I had them! LOL! I’m a slave to my phone!

I finally got the pastors sermons up on iTunes! I finally figured out how to do that and now you can sign up for his podcasts for free through iTunes. Just download iTunes (free) to your computer and sign-up for his podcast! Pastor Carson Robson’s Podcast

I Don’t Get It?

I just don’t get it??? I have friends that just LOVE the twilight movies and books and my sisters love them and my boys love them but the movies are SO boring!!! I had to sit through yet ANOTHER one of these movies last night and CJ poked me three times to pay attention! LOL!! All they are is one really long and drawn out chick flick! UGH! Chuck and CJ love chick flicks, I however DON’T!! How can everyone go ga-ga over these movies? Maybe the books are better but I don’t want to read a really long and drawn out chick book either! LOL!!

Before the boring movie, we went and got Joe a pair of football cleats, since the pair from last year, which are size 12′s don’t fit him this year. Joe is now a size 13 and they actually came in wide, so they fit him nice. He is the only one at practice that didn’t have cleats and he’s tired of being stepped on by other cleats in just tennis shoes.

We then went to the mall to buy CJ a pair of skinny jeans. Why he wants skinny jeans is beyond me, but he’s been begging for a pair ALL summer long! Now, he says he needs tight shirts because bagging shirts don’t go with skinny jeans, LOL!!!! We told him he would have to wait.

Chuck is pulling logs out of our woods and hopes to have a couple loads this week to go out so we can start paying people back. Lets hope he can get 2 loads out. The guy with the tractor that said he would help him has only showed up for 4 hours on one day and hasn’t been back since. Once the skidder is done he won’t need him but it would be nice of him to come back and at least get a load out so we can get some money in.

Yesterday I had another coaching practicum and there were only 3 of us so it only took 3 hours instead of 5. I have 2 more to go and I am DONE with the coaching school. This one didn’t go very well, as I was more chatty then coach’y, LOL! I need to do less statements and more open ended questions. Hey, at least I learn something each time I do one of these, even though I really hate them, LOL! My next one is August 13 and the last one is Sept. 11.

I was talking to Joe last night about doing voice over’s. Just to do simple voice overs for other peoples podcasts, you can make a dollar a second! I told him he may be good at it and we should look into it, so we are going to do that. Don’t know if it will pan out, but we’ll learn something!

Summer Happenings

Man, sorry, it’s been a while again. I should make myself blog on a certain day every week so I make sure to update at least once a week!

Okay, I was flat on my back all last week. I did get up to take the boys to football and back and do laundry and make dinner and such but I was in a LOT of pain!! By Friday I called the doctor and he told me to stretch and walk around then lay on ice for 20 minutes and then do it again all day. I did and on Saturday I felt MUCH better! So, I guess after about 3 or so days, you’re okay to get up and move around even though it hurts really bad.

Sunday Chuck and I went food shopping and I ran projection at church so I wasn’t too bad, though still in pain but I could move around better.

Monday I sat on the couch for a while and then Chuck called and we had to run to Youngstown to take care of the $15 for his license and get trailer plates. We got back around 5pm and I came home and made pizza, then did the dishes and then I sat my butt down on the couch till bedtime.

Tuesday, I took the boys to football at 9am and picked them up at 12:30pm, they ate lunch and then CJ and I went down to the lake. He hung out with his friends and I sat on the beach looking for sea glass. We left at 5pm so I had time to make dinner. Then I cleaned up and sat my butt on the couch till bedtime.

Can you tell I just love to sit on the couch! LOL! I have a laptop and I have a certain spot I sit in and I watch TV or work on the computer and Sandy sleeps or sits next to me on her special feather pillow, LOL!

Wednesday, took boys to football at 9am and picked them up at 12:30pm. Then we went over to Linda’s (a friend of mine from church) and Joe got his hair cut. It was getting shaggy and he didn’t like all that hair in his helmet. It looks good now! Linda is going to pick up a perm for me and I am going to straiten CJ’s hair. He hates how curly it is and Linda said I could do it myself for $5 instead of paying her $25. Then we just hung out at home the rest of the day.

Yesterday, boys had practice from 9-12:30. When I picked them up I took them over to grandma’s house so I could go to lunch with the girls. Had a good time and picked the boys back up at 2pm and we went home. Chilled for a few hours and then off to bowling. I actually did pretty good! I thought my back would bother me but it didn’t. I bowled a 197, 175, 120. As you can see, I got really tired as time went by! LOL! I went straight to bed when we got home, watch Big Brother and went to sleep by 10:30pm.

Today, I have no plans and I just want to stay home all day. I know CJ is going to rock and bowl tonight from 9-11pm. Joe will probably go too, so I have to run them there and back. The boys are going to help Chuck with some stuff outside.

Because of the accident, we are again cutting and selling the tress off our land to try and pay everyone back that we took loans from and to get the truck fixed. He is trying to haul some loads with the dump truck but he can’t haul as much as with the big white truck. He is getting the big log skidder fixed and it’s so nice these people are fixing these and letting us make payments! But, once it’s done, Chuck will be able to get a LOT of logs out of the woods and start bringing in some good money besides just hauling loads for other people. Should be done next week sometime. Then they will start on the big truck.

Well, that’s about it really. We have about a month and then school starts back up and we will be more into a routine but we will also be VERY busy until Christmas break, LOL!

I Can’t Believe It!

Last night, while I was SLEEPING I threw my back out BAD! I was laying on my back and I must have stretched and arched my back and BAM I woke up in PAIN! I knew it as soon as I woke up that this was a bad one. My first thought was, I am not even safe while I am sleeping! :(

I rolled to my side and was okay to sleep again. I got up at 8am this morning and it took me 30 minutes to make my bed and get dressed all while crying. I am now stuck in bed on my side for the day. I had to cancel CJ’s therapy appointment which was at 11am. I can’t get into the chiropractor until 3:45 today. It’s weird to try and type while laying on your side.

Standing up causes great pain. The pressure just is intense and my hips want to explode! I wish I didn’t have such a hard time with my back all the time. I have an appointment I HAVE to go to tomorrow afternoon so I hope I can move by then.

Chuck is doing better, he’s not as sore. The Amish guy he was hauling for lent him $1,000 and he is trying to find another $1,000. The guy holding his stuff is waving the lot fees so that helps and he let Chuck pay to get the truck out and Chuck found a guy to fix it and let him make payments so that is good. We might only end up being down a week and that isn’t bad! Chuck is going to try and haul in some lumber of his own with the trailer and dump truck so we can get some money in.
