So, all this week the boys are off of school for spring break. They are bored and at times I wished we still lived in town and then other times I’m glad we don’t. This is one of those times I wish we did so they could hang out with friends without me having to drive to town and hang out there till they are done hanging out with friends! LOL!
Yesterday was weird! Joe and I went to Ashtabula for an orthodontist appointment. It was a beautiful day as the sun was out and there were no clouds in the sky! We sat there in a packed waiting room for an hour for his 5 minute appointment! I guess we are to always bring his retainer, we didn’t know this so next time we have to have it.
Got home at 10:45am and I packed up the eggs our church is selling and left and dropped those off at Crazy Dave’s because Donna is going to sell them for me. I then went bowling and I did pretty good, I actually got a 206 my first game!
Then after bowling I went and got my hair cut and I paid for me and Joe as I will take him there today. After that I went home and both boys wanted to go to town to hang out. So, we immediately left back to town. Joe was wearing shorts and a hoody and he went to play basketball at the park down by the lake. By now it’s 3pm and it’s cloudy and very cold! CJ went to Taylor’s house for a while and I went to the library to get some work done. I picked them up all up 5pm and we were home by 5:30.
Then Chuck and I left and he dropped me off at church because Jennifer couldn’t run projection so I said I would if someone would give me a ride home. Chuck bowls in Girard on Wed. nights. So, when I went into the church there was a few snow flakes here and there and that was at 5:45. When church was over and we were leaving at 9pm there was over 4 inches of snow out there and we had to unburry all the cars!! LOL!!!! I had on my spring coat and Deb (she gave me a ride home) had on sandals! LOL!!! When I got home I had to shovel the walkway and there was a good 5 or more inches of snow! And it’s the heavy wet stuff. This morning you can’t see anything but snow! Well, so much for spring!
This is how most of my days go so I haven’t been able to get much writing done. Today, I have till noon and then I have to get the boys ready and take them over to Uncle Dave’s while I have lunch with the girls and then pick them up as they each have a doctor appointment at 2pm and then after that I have to take Joe over to Linda’s for a hair cut and then I will make it back home. Joe needs a refill on his inhaler and CJ is having a lot of pain in his Achilles tendon and the top part of his foot on both feet. So badly that when he tries to run he cries and he’s in track! So, we have to find out why as it’s been 2 weeks with no change. He loves track and is pretty fast but he literally can’t run and he’s upset about it. Today is a track meet but they aren’t going. Joe wanted to but apparently we have a pay to play program and we haven’t been able to pay so Joe isn’t allowed to participate until we do so I have to talk with the coaches and see what we can do about it. Each kid is $150 but I sort of forgot about it and it’s paid down to $115
Last week, not sure what day, coming home from getting the boys from track practice I was talking with Joe and looking at him and not the road and Joe goes, “Hey mom, look at those deer” and then before I could turn my head he goes, “Watch out!” I scream and BAM, she hits my side of the van. Odd, no damage, not even a scratch or a dent. But, she broke her front shoulder and was lying in the road alive but suffering and I’m almost crying so I left the boys there and I went home to get Chuck. It was just around the corner from us. He took the van and I stayed home to start dinner.
When they came back Joe said while him and CJ where standing there the neighbor’s came up to see what was going on and said they would be right back. When Chuck got there so did the neighbor’s and they brought their AK47!! Good Grief!!! Nice to know our neighbor’s are well armed! They shot her in the head and it left a crater in the road! Talk about over kill, but the boys loved it. LOL! Chuck brought her home and when he gutted her, she was carrying twins! I’m so sad!! They were quite big, all white with little black noses. They are now in our freezer. Chuck is a lot like my Grandpa Mathewson, he kept odd things in his freezer too. I guess it’s not every day you get to see deer that little. It was all very sad!
