My mom called last night and informed me that I haven’t blogged in a VERY LONG time!  LOL!! I guess I haven’t!  I keep telling myself that I am going to blog at least twice a week but that never seems to happen!

On October  23-26 I was in Pittsburgh getting my Grief Recovery Certification from the “Grief Recovery Institute“.  That weekend was the most difficult, hardest, emotional draining, best, most awesome weekend of my life!  Like Dr. Phil says, this was a pivotal moment in my life!  There were 7 of us and for once I wasn’t the youngest, I was the second to youngest!  LOL!  Sarah was 29!  The teacher, Elaine, was great!  She is a Lieutenant Colonel Chaplin in the US Air Force.    Ray came the furthest as he came from Puerto Rico.  He brought his wife so she could visit her sister who lived in Pittsburgh.  His wife has never seen fall leaves and that weekend was beautiful!!  She LOVED it!
There was 1 other coach there, Chris and she was my partner for the weekend.  She is great and I miss her!  It was amazing to see the change in all of us in just those 4 short days.  Elaine said that she has never had a group like ours and she has been doing this for years!  LOL!  She never had a group choose to do another graph, she never had a group that went to lunch on the last day, she never had a group exchange birthday dates, she never had a group that wrote each other notes.  That one was my idea.  I wrote the persons name at the top of the page and under it I wrote, You are fabulous and if you ever forget that, please read this again.  And I had each of use write something nice about that person.  That was fun!  So, our group rocked!

The bond you make with these people is amazing!  Now, I need to start my own group so I can practice!  I may wait till after the holiday’s though as people don’t tend to come around those times.  Here are some pictures of us:

Okay, this last picture of me is just WEIRD!!   I look SO strange!!  LOL!!

Since then, I haven’t done much.  The football season is done and both boys are now in wrestling.  Joe has lost about 15 pounds since the beginning of summer and has grown about 3 or 4 inches since then too!  He looks much different than he did last year!

I am determined to FINALLY finish my coaching school so that I can be certified.  I have 6 practicums to do and I am doing 3 by the end of the year.  I then need to do 3 more and then I’m not sure what is left, but I think I need to record some sessions and turn them in but by summer I would like to be ALL DONE!  LOL!  I put CVCC on my grief recovery certificate even though I am not quiet there yet, but I wanted it on there any way.  It stands for “Coachville Certified Coach”.

This week I have been trying to put together a website for our church.  I am learning new stuff which takes me all day!  1 day for the drop down menu bar and a whole other day for the flashbox, which is a box that shows pictures 1 after the other.  It’s coming together though.  The pastor has been sick  so that has given me more time to put it together before I show it to him, LOL!

Oh, and I am now part of the Projection Team at church too!  I am upstairs and I run the projection screen where the pastors PowerPoint is and the words to our songs.  We don’t have hymn books, we just use the projection screen.  I love doing it!  I’m such an AV (audio/visual) and electronic geek, LOL!

So, I guess that is about it for me!  Hopefully, I won’t wait so long for the next post!
